In our 'travels ' around the world - our place to visit this week was England. The children have collaged
flags, prepared, weighed, made and eaten Yorkshire puddings and have enjoyed making London buses and even
added details to these by adding passengers, doors and lights.
We have been discussing with children the importance of listening. This
has been particularly needed with the icy weather.
Some of the children made a camp outside, which included a
‘bonfire’. They pretended to roast marshmallows and make hot chocolate.
They were very safety aware as they made a barrier out of foam bricks for us to
sit on so we didn’t get to close!! Very
clever and lots of fun.
Friday Forest School was very exciting in the snow on Friday – the children
really enjoyed exploring and using it in the mud kitchen or ‘snow kitchen’!!
The little ones at Broadway Playschool
needed a little encouragement to explore the shredded paper, they were soon
involved and having lots of fun pretending is was snow sprinkling each other.
They also enjoyed looking and touching the sprinkling of snow outside.
