VALENTINES & FIRST WEEK BACK

The children's footprint hearts were really lovely - our student worked hard to support the children to achieve heart shaped footprints. We also made heart print cards and  twisted bread in heart shapes.
Lovely valentine heart collages were made with the 2-3 group who really got 'stuck ' in !

Our student made a  black and white cake with the children which turned out really dark - she did a very good job and the children responded very well.
It looked fantastic ! Well done to our student who did a fantastic job with the activity.

Great experiment done today with liquids in a glass - to look at density and thinness of different liquids and what floats and sinks - all the children were captured by the process and concentrated for over 20 minutes!

After sorting out the dressing up and refreshing our role play area - there was lots of discussions, and fantastic 'doctors & nurse' role play with great language!  - one of the staff was given a check over, a diagnosis and  lots of bandages were used on everyone.

During bug hunting at forest school (Wednesday) -we found lots of large, green, juicy slugs!  It was  funny watching the children trying to pick them up. On Friday in forest school - despite the rain - we managed a fire and made pop corn - the children had a glittery 'krispie' cake and sang 'happy  birthday ' to Jude.
